Philanthropies

Kappa Alpha Theta has built its culture of philanthropy around the idea of spreading the widest influence for good, teaching members how to be philanthropists through fundraising, service and advocacy. Theta’s two philanthropic priorities are Theta Foundation and Court Appointed Special Advocates/GAL Association for Children (CASA/GAL). Theta Foundation awards more than $1 million annually in scholarships and grants, as well as directly supports Theta’s educational, leadership and philanthropic programs through the Fraternity Grant. National CASA/GAL’s core mission is the belief that every abused or neglected child deserves the opportunity to have a safe and permanent home and be provided opportunities to learn and grow. The CASA/GAL network includes nearly 1,000 local programs across North America advocating on behalf of youth in foster care.
