Philanthropies
Alpha Sigma Tau’s national philanthropy is the Women’s Wellness Initiative. Through the initiative, which empowers Alpha Sigma Tau members to improve women’s wellness through service activities and projects, the sorority has established relationships with the international nonprofit organizations Dress for Success® and Girls Who Code. Through Dress for Success, members empower women in their communities to achieve economic independence. Through Girls Who Code, members empower girls to close the gender gap in technology and pursue 21st century careers in computer science. Alpha Sigma Tau is also building similar relationships with other networked nonprofit organizations committed to empowering women and girls. Additionally, the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation endows scholarships and offers critical financial support for many of the sorority’s educational programs.
