The Nu Delta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta is a community of women at Georgia College & State University built on scholarship, service, and lifelong friendship. We are part of an international women’s fraternity founded in 1904 — and a sisterhood that feels like home from the very first day.
Loving. Leading. Lasting.
Our motto is more than three words — it’s how we show up for one another and for our community. Here’s what it means to us.
Loving
We lead with kindness. Sisterhood means genuine care — celebrating wins, showing up in hard times, and making sure every woman knows she belongs.
Leading
From chapter officers to campus organizations, Alpha Gams step up. We grow as leaders through real responsibility, mentorship, and the confidence of a sisterhood behind us.
Lasting
Membership doesn’t end at graduation. The friendships, values, and network you build here last a lifetime — across decades and chapters everywhere.
We will always be and seek women who truly live with purpose. Surrounded by sisterhood, we inspire the woman and impact the world.

Our Symbols

The Squirrel
Our beloved mascot — playful, industrious, and always prepared.

Red & Buff Roses
Our flowers, paired with green — the colors that have represented Alpha Gam since 1904.
The Pearl
Our jewel — formed slowly, quietly, into something rare and enduring.
Our Roots
Alpha Gamma Delta was founded on May 30, 1904, at Syracuse University by eleven remarkable women. Today the Fraternity spans the United States and Canada with more than 200,000 members. Our colors are red, buff, and green; our philanthropy is the fight against hunger.
The Nu Delta Chapter was chartered at Georgia College & State University in April 2018 and has called Milledgeville home ever since. (Edit this paragraph to add your chapter’s traditions and milestones.)
